Södra Värtan
Södra Värtan is the first phase in the southern section of the Stockholm Royal Seaport urban development area.
We won this parallel assignment with a distinctive urban planning proposal that includes a large swathe of park and plaza extending crosswise from the wharf into the heart of the district. Södra Värtan is being shaped into an animated city district full of contrasts, where buildings of different scales sit comfortably side by side. Plans for the area include retail space, workplaces, preschools and around 2,000 new residential units close to Stockholm’s busiest ports.
